My short answer: if adult content is why you're searching, GoLove.ai is the pick. One character chats explicitly, sends photos when you ask and can turn them into video. Replika still holds the cheaper annual and lifetime plans, plus AR mode, and I won't pretend that trade-off doesn't matter.
Browsing the roster costs nothing, so you can see exactly who you'd be talking to before you pay a cent.

For most new sign-ups, Replika delivers less than this search term promises. Romantic and ERP modes are restricted for newer accounts, while accounts created before 2023 were grandfathered and kept them. Voice calls sit behind paid tiers, and Replika sells several: Pro, Ultra and Platinum. We could not confirm that any of them lifts the ERP restriction on a newer account. Don't upgrade expecting it to.

A photo request takes four steps. Open a chat, tap the media button, choose Send Photo and describe the scene in your own words. About 20–45 seconds later, a photo of that same character lands in the thread, for 1 Star. Her face and body stay consistent with her avatar and her earlier photos, and that consistency is what I'd point to first.
What caught me off guard in the spec is what comes after the photo:
- Generate Video: one tap under a photo turns it into a ~5-second clip in about a minute (10 Stars).
- Video Note: media button → Send Video Note returns a round talking video with sound in under 90 seconds (10 Stars).
- No account yet: her first photo is visible. The next one is blurred behind a Sign Up button.

Credit where it's due: Replika is the longest-running AI companion brand, built around a persistent avatar identity and memory. You get one companion who carries your history forward. That's why people stay, and it's the hardest thing to walk away from.
GoLove.ai
GoLove covers the same core with Memory that remembers your history and Relationship Progression as you keep talking. Then it adds a media layer:
On GoLove.ai, the order that works:
- Pick a character — or build one to your taste
- Say something real: she remembers your chat history

- Series: GoLove's own 18+ vertical short dramas. As of 2026-11-01 there are 9 series and 54 episodes, with new episodes every week, per GoLove. "My AI Girlfriend" stars Lexie, and "I Can Hear Their Thoughts" stars Barbara and Melissa. Episodes 1–2 of every series are free, even without an account. After an episode you can tap Start Chatting with the cast.
- Feed: a TikTok-style stream of clips. Remix opens the generator preloaded with that clip's character and settings.
- Video generator: you build a clip from preset cards (action + clothes + background). It has 76 realistic video modes and works with any GoLove or custom character.
Of the three, Series is the one I'd actually start with: it's a way to meet her before you pay. You watch a character in a story, then message her directly. We couldn't confirm anything comparable on Replika in this form.
Pro: the first episodes are free. Con: from episode 3 on you need PRO, plus a few Stars per episode.

Pro is about $19.99/month or $69.99/year (≈$5.83/month). A Lifetime option runs around $299.99, and there's a limited free tier. Replika shows prices only inside the app, and they vary by region and promo.
GoLove.ai pricing
PRO is about $19.99/month, with annual billing that cuts the monthly rate noticeably (check the current plans in the app). It includes all NSFW content, voice messages and calls, character creation, unlimited Feed and 100 Stars a month. ULTRA runs about $59.99/month or about $359.88/year.
Star packs range from 30 Stars up to 3,000 Stars (about $299.99). Costs per item:
- 1 Star buys 1 image.
- 5 Stars buy 1 video.
- A 720p video costs 10 Stars.
None of this is perfect, and there are three things I'd fix at GoLove:
- Free tier: the free account gets 2 daily reward Stars, a limited daily Feed and Series episodes 1–2. Adult content, voice and character creation all need PRO.
- Stars on top: heavy photo and video use spends Stars beyond the subscription.
- Long-term cost: Replika is plainly cheaper on its annual and lifetime plans. If you budget by the year, that's a letdown.

Who Each One Is Actually For
Plainly, it splits three ways:
- Stay on Replika if you have a grandfathered pre-2023 account, want a long-term SFW-leaning companion with AR mode, or want the cheapest annual or lifetime price. For those readers, Replika is still the right call.
